The founder of the Ottoman Empire and the first Sultan Uthman was born in 1258 in Sugut, near Bursa.
He was one of the three sons of Airtgrol Ghazi, and his mother was Halim Haton. Usman Ghazi was only 23 years old when he took control of Kay Kalan in Sugut and more than ascended the throne after the death of his father, he ruled for 27 years until his death in 1326.

After his accession to the throne, he gathered several Turkic groups. He fought against the Byzantines around him and in collaboration with the Seljuk Ala-de-Din Kikobud I.
After the deportation of Alauddin, when the Seljuk Empire ceased to rule, Usman Ghazi annexed it in 1299 as the foundation of the Ottoman Empire.
